gearing up for SF4 PC release, so i started designing my controller.

mind you this is a 3D rendition of my design. Ive yet to determine the material.

let me know what you think about the layout, this is my first design with a arcade style controller so i dont know much aside from the comfort of my local arcade. the layout is similar to the Japanese version of SF4 arcade with the added 2 buttons.

Looks great. I love the low profile and the sloped face looks comfortable for the wrists to rest on. Personally, I prefer the 8 button setup but I'd say a 6 button layout is most popular amongst the purists. The only thing about this design I'd definitely change is to get rid of the prominent screws on the faceplate. Either make them recessed or get rid of them altogether and have tension hold the face in like the Norris cases.

like it, similar to something i plan to build in acrylic without all the contoured sides. great idea for the wrist support

to pull it all together you shoul have the art extend down the wrist rest as well
