we make a 30 hole half way down, then 24 hole to cut the actual hole. then we take a router and flare out the holes, it feels much better to the fingers to know dig into the holes to find buttons on the top side.

Looks Great! what tool do you use to counter sink those holes? or how do you countersink them?
